Post Office Steps Solitude- New York, NY 3/12/18
I took this shot on a chilly, sunny morning in Manhattan, where the only relief from the nippiness was the sunlight you could find in the open. Despite what you can see in the shot, there were people everywhere, the sidewalks were packed. This couple took a seat on the steps to enjoy the sun and step away from the bustle, if only for a minute.
This is on the steps of Farley Post Office- Manhattan’s main post office- across from Penn Station. It will soon be converted to provide an extension to the already packed-to-capacity commuter hub.
